Summer is officially upon us! If you live in Ontario you’ve probably been just as surprised as me at the incredible weather we have been having. With this nice weather comes all the summer cravings, including ice-cream! Ice-cream is one of my favourite foods but its high dairy and sugar content leave me feeling gross. I came up with a solution. My very own dairy and processed sugar free “icecream.” Today I want to share two flavours with you!
Strawberry Pineapple
You will need:
4 frozen bananas
1 cup of frozen strawberries
1 cup of frozen pineapple
1/8 cup of maple syrup (you can leave this out and still have a very flavourful icecream)
Start by blending the bananas in a food processor. When they are silky smooth add in the other ingredients and blend until you have a frothy consistency. Place in the freezer for 1/5-2 hours.
Mango
This might be my favourite flavour!
You will need:
4 frozen bananas
1.5 cups of frozen mango
1/8 cup of maple syrup
Start by blending the bananas in a food processor. When they are silky smooth add in the other ingredients and blend until you have a frothy consistency. Place in the freezer for 1/5-2 hours.
